Psalm 6 is a plea for mercy, for grace, and for deliverance from death. It is a prayer that God ultimately and supremely answers in Christ Jesus.
Accordingly, we paired lyrics from The Book of Psalms for Worship (©2009 Crown and Covenant) with the verse melody of “The Solid Rock” (William Bradbury, 1863), ending with the refrain of this hymn (Edward Mote, 1834).
