Psalm 3 is the first Psalm with a title: “A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.” David affirms both the danger of his situation and the encouraging reality that salvation belongs to the LORD. To sing this psalm we used the Trinity Psalter (©1994 Crown and Covenant) adaptation of Psalm 3 from the Scottish Psalter (1650). We paired these lyrics with the traditional English melody “Kingsfold.” This recording features Sean Tracy on vocals and guitar, Naomi Stamoolis on oboe, Joel Stamoolis on double bass, and Thomas Doak on cajón.

Psalm 119 is an acrostic prayer song celebrating God's word. Psalm 119 was written as 22 eight verse stanzas, one for each of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
