As disciples of Jesus, Christians have already been commissioned to preach the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations. Anyone can go on a missions trip or participate in an outreach, but disciples are called to live a missional lifestyle, reaching those whom the Lord has put within their paths. The Bible tells us in (Acts 8:4) that, “those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the Word.” They were not on a missions trip, they were missional. I’ve seen our congregation grow in maturity and numbers through missions and outreach. I’m seeing entire families serve together; children becoming excited about serving the Lord, fathers being empowered to lead their families and women filled with the joy of the Lord. I believe the Lord has led us to host another conference with a simple vision. Encourage individuals, families, and congregations to live the missionary lifestyle without packing a suitcase or planning a trip. You are “Commissioned”. Embrace the call.
