OKC Memorial Marathon Water Stop - Early Shift

Team Gatorade or Team H2O?

April 30, 2023
6:00 - 8:30am

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon will be Sunday April 30th and once again the route goes right down Shartel past Westminster. We are right around mile 7 and a vital water stop. We don’t have worship that morning, but we are able to support the marathon runners rain or shine as a water stop. Last year, we partnered with “Hope is Alive” to run our water stop. Gatorade and water were aplenty for the thousands of runners who passed our church that morning. The energy and people power HIA provided helped us set up, hydrate and cheer on those participating. Again this year HIA is partnering with us to work the water stop. We need volunteers and table captains for this early morning endeavor. We gather at 6 am and clean up is completed by 11 am. You can work the early shift (6 – 8:30 am), the second shift (8:30 – 11:00 am) or both. There is no childcare available that morning but children are still welcome to participate at the parents discretion. Students who need service hours can work the water stop for credit as well. Sign ups are online.
