Into the Darkness

2019 Local Missions Conference

October 13, 2019 • Rev. Robert Looper

We must shine the light of God’s grace into the darkness.
1. By going where it is dark:
a. Among people who may make us uncomfortable. (Mark 5:1)
b. Into places that may frighten us. (Mark 5:2, 3)
2. By confronting the power of the darkness: a. With the proper power.
b. With the proper preparation. (Mark 5:9; cf. 2 Cor. 10:3; Eph. 6:12)
3. With the expectation that the Gospel will accomplish God’s work:
a. Because the darkness is no match for the light of truth. (Mark 5:10-16)
b. Because God has designed the Gospel to work in us and through us. (Mark 5:18-20)
