The Holy Spirit is all about building up. In the Book of Acts, with the birth and rapid growth of the early church, the Holy Spirit keeps the church mov- ing forward in the face of accusation and in the midst of persecution.
God’s Holy Spirit builds up and strengthens God’s people, and is passion- ately opposed to anyone attempting to tear down what God is doing. Now, the understanding of pruning is something that Jesus taught in John 15:1-2 – “I am the truth grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.” But once the Holy Spirit falls – it’s on! There is no stopping what God is doing.
