Join a group of West Lawn women as they explore the Biblical Tabernacle in Lancaster, PA, followed by lunch at the Oregon Dairy. The group will meet in the West Lawn church parking lot at 10 AM on Thursday, June 8, and carpool to the Tabernacle. After the presentation and free time, all are welcome to gather at the Oregon Dairy for lunch and ice cream. The cost for entrance into the Tabernacle is $9. Every individual will pay for her own lunch and ice cream. The Biblical Tabernacle Experience is a full-size reproduction of Moses’ original Hebrew Tabernacle. This structure is based upon the instructions given by God to Moses in the book of Exodus. This exhibit is fascinating to students of the Bible as well as those interested in cultural studies. Inside the Tabernacle you’ll see life-sized replicas of the Ark of the Covenant, the Table of Shewbread, the Golden Candlestick, and more. A 35-minute multimedia presentation explains the purpose and spiritual significance of these items as well as the Altar of Incense, the Holy of Holies, and the role of the priests. Thousands of people visit the Biblical Tabernacle each year.
