Note: for families with special needs only. A non-scary, allergy-sensitive, handicapped accessible event for children and adults with special needs to enjoy trick-or-treating. Special Needs Fall Fest is an event hosted by National Park Church for families and children with a variety of special needs. ------ (click for more info!) ------ Holidays tend to be difficult for parents and caregivers of special needs children, The Fall holidays are no exception. Many children struggle with Trick-or-Treating for a variety of reasons. This event allows all children and adults with special needs to enjoy Trick-or-Treating. - Your special needs child or adult will walk around collecting treats from each car or station, some indoor, some outdoor. - Every station will offer some type of allergy-sensative treat or a non-food item. Tables and volunteers will be decorated and dressed up in non-scary decorations and costumes, with limited sounds and decor. - Your child and adult is welcome to come dressed in their costume or without one! We will having a calm area, so if you're not quite ready to leave, but your child needs a moment to calm themselves, you're welcome to use the calming room. Notes: - Teal Pumpkin (non-food treats and lollipops) - Low Sensory - Costumes welcome but not required - No upper age limit - Non-scary - A calm, friendly environment - Non-special needs siblings and friends are invited too! -Limited entrance/exit points -A quiet/safe space or “calm down room” - safety/medical personnel on site. National Park Church cares for each member of your family. These questions are asked for the benefit of your family, so we can provide the best experience and safest environment for everyone involved. Our leaders and volunteers take very seriously your family's right to privacy. Any information shared from this form is communicated directly with those caring for your student and only on a "need to know" basis. After filling out the profile, the coordinator will set up a time that works for you to review the profile together to make sure everyone is on the same page.
