May is Foster Care Awareness month. Did you know that there are children in foster care throughout our city, and even in our own church. Our hope is to bring awareness to the needs of the children and families impacted by foster care. The number of homes eligible to foster children in the state has dropped over 60% since 2019 and there are still thousands of children who need a safe and loving place to call home.

There are lots of different ways to help provide support and care. They range from becoming a foster parent to providing items for children and families, respite care and volunteering at organizations that serve children and families. Please pray and seek the Lord about how you can help provide for these children and show them the love of Christ, and consider visiting some of the nonprofits that are partnering with Calvary Chapel Charleston to bring awareness to Foster Care in our area.
