Lazarus, Enoch, & Elijah

August 20, 2021 • Bill Watson, Mike James

Over the decades and centuries, many books and pages of research support debates and presentations on what happened to Enoch and Elijah—where did they go? How were they translated from where they were to heaven, allegedly, and never experienced death?

And then consider the story of Lazarus and the rich man, a story allegedly disclosing details about life after death and how it appears from the perspectives of the saved and the unsaved. Can this be true? And how does that compare with the "greater truth" the Bible teaches explicitly regarding life after death?

All three of these stories are indeed extremely thought-provoking and have unquestionably caused much controversy within the Christian community. But, interestingly enough, this controversy would be clearly erased if only those who insist on propagating these narratives to fit their misappropriated theology would read the Scriptures for what they say!

This is precisely the approach Bill and Mike take in this most recent Web-Chat. They will guide you through many of the scriptures that reveal specifically what the Bible says about where Enoch went and answer the question of whether or not he died. They will take you through the background of Elijah and how he was removed from his ministry on a chariot, transferring his duties to Elisha, and will then answer the question about where he actually went.

They will then address the narrative of Lazarus and the rich man, providing the extra context of what led up to this story Jesus told concerning these two individuals. It is a fascinating realization when one discovers what the Bible says about this event and how it so nicely fits in with the "greater truth" of just where the dead are and the state of the dead!

So take a moment and listen in on this discussion between Bill and Mike. We guarantee it will be eye-opening as to what the Bible says about these three individuals!

The Value of Prophecy

January 2, 2024 • Bill Watson, Mike James

In today’s world, many people marginalize the value of prophecy and would prefer topics that are more targeted toward Christian living, morals and ethics, or line-upon-line Bible Studies––and unquestionably, all of these categories are important too––but it doesn’t dismiss the value of prophecy. So, in this Web-chat session, Bill and Mike discuss some of the details as to why prophecy is important. Keep in mind that about 30% of your Bible is dedicated to the topic of prophecy because, after all, prophecy plays an important part in proving the Bible is, indeed, accurate and true. So, we hope you will enjoy the insights this discussion provides.

Understanding Heaven and the Resurrection

June 29, 2022 • Bill Watson, Mike James

Bill and Mike discuss the distinction between the traditional beliefs of going to heaven as the reward for the Christian while comparing this to the term "resurrection." They make the point you can't have it both ways! Interestingly enough, they illustrate this difference of belief with the very words of some very popular Christian Evangelists and compare them with what the Bible teaches. The result of this discussion is a stunning revelation of just how far off these evangelists are from what the Bible actually teaches about the reward of the saved––and according to your Bible, as hard as it may be to believe–––it isn't heaven!
