Here are some things you will need to bring: • Towel • Change of clothes • Recommended not required: Wetsuit or a shirt to wear over your swimsuit to help keep you warm in the water Pirate’s Cove Beach is the small beach on the west side of the parking lot at Corona Del Mar State Beach in Newport Beach, CA. Due to its location inside the Newport Bay entrance channel the water is calm making it safe to get into the water. Pirates Cove is below a small city park called Lookout Point Park which has benches that take in the excellent view. That park is located at the corner of Ocean Boulevard and Heliotrope Avenue and some street parking spaces are available there. Stairs at that intersection drop down into Pirates Cove.
