Memphis Street Reach is a ministry of Brinkley Heights Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist-affiliated church. WHEN: July 14-19, 2024 WHERE: Memphis, TN COST: $350. $50 Deposit due February 2, 2024 • PAYMENT/FUNDRAISED SCHEDULE o 2/4/24 - $50 Deposit o 3/3/24 - $150 paid or fundraised o 4/7/24 - $300 paid or fundraised o 5/5/24 - $350 paid or fundraised TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: Arrival is Sunday at 4, and departure is Friday after lunch. On Sunday after arrival, there will be dinner provided, and a Bible Club orientation provided to your group by a Street Reach Staff Member. Monday through Thursday will consist of breakfast, daily devotion, Bible Club, and afternoon projects, except for Wednesday afternoon, as that is your evening to see Memphis and get some good BBQ, and Friday will not have afternoon projects. BIBLE CLUB is essentially a backyard VBS. We provide you with a curriculum you can use but don’t have to. It just provides ideas for your trip such as game and craft ideas. There are maps provided for each route, and you will not be going anywhere staff members haven’t gone before. You will be with a staffer at Bible Club as well as afternoon projects. There may or may not be a staffer with you on the walking routes but at the Bible Club site. AFTERNOON PROJECTS can vary from street clean up, yard work, and sports camp, to a laundromat ministry. If you choose to opt-in to the laundromat, we ask that you provide 80$ in quarters to pay for people to wash their laundry. The laundromat ministry is a great opportunity to minister to our bible club kids’ families. All materials are provided for the afternoon projects with the exception of quarters for the laundromat. STREET REACH MEMPHIS PROVIDES • Housing for your team with a dorm-style facility including bunk beds with mattresses (you will need to bring a pillow, linens, and towels), restrooms with showers, a gymnasium, and meeting space! o Female housing is located in the school building. Dorm style bunk beds with one air mattress per bed provided. o Male housing is located in the gym building. Dorm style bunk beds with one air mattress per bed provided. • Shower facilities o Female shower facility is located in the school building across from the dorm rooms with 6 showers available. o Male shower facility is located in the gym building and is divided between two bathrooms, each with a shower room located inside. Each shower room contains 2 showers. • Gymnasium located on property available for free time activities. • Meals for your team including basic breakfast, light lunches, and catered evening dinners. We are not able to accommodate for food allergies, but a menu of items provided can be provided prior to your trip. • Supplies for all community ministry projects your team may be doing each day (this is not the Bible Club). For example, if your group were assigned a Soccer Club for a ministry project, we would provide the needed soccer equipment. • Bible Club Curriculum with a story, theme verse, and coordinating craft suggestions with supplies list. • We provide a Street Reach staff missionary at each Bible Club and ministry project site. Our mission teams are never without a Street Reach missionary whenever they are out serving in our community. NOT PROVIDED: Bible Club Crafts and any Equipment/Supplies your team may need for games and any other stations during Bible Club. Groups are not required to utilize our curriculum, however. If you would rather use different material, we have no problem with that! • We provide a light praise and worship service on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, along with a share time on Thursday night led by Street Reach staff members. • We provide logistical support and organization leading up to your mission trip with the assistance of a Trip Liaison. STREET REACH MEMPHIS DOES NOT PROVIDE: • Bible Club Crafts and any Equipment/Supplies your team may need for games and any other stations during Bible Club. Groups are not required to utilize our curriculum, however. If you would rather use different material, we have no problem with that! • Wednesday Fun Afternoon/Evening Activity & Dinner for your team. Details TBA.
