W.H.E.N. Program Presents the WHEN Project

Leviticus 23:40 (KJV) "And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days." This Month's Healthy Food/Drink is: CITRUS FRUITS. Citrus fruit symbolizes the "Hope of resurrection and eternal life." Citrus fruits are rich in multiple nutrients such as Vitamin C, flavonoids, and fiber which confer vascular protection, reduce inflammation, improve gastrointestinal function and health, and play an important role in preventing conditions like diabetes, cancer, neurological disease. Two fun facts on citrus fruits are: 1) They are rich in vitamins and plant compounds; they contain nutrients that strengthens the immune system and keeps your skin smooth and elastic. 2) Citrus fruit are a good source of fiber.
