On the evening of Thursday, May 4th, we’ll have the special opportunity to gather in one location with other believers from our community for the Oceanside National Day of Prayer event! This unique prayer meeting will take place at Heritage Park in Oceanside from 6:00 – 7:15 pm, and will involve participants from various churches and local institutions. George Washington was one of America’s early leaders to call for regular occasions of dedicated group prayer, and later it was President Reagan who established the first Thursday of May annually as America’s National Day of Prayer. It’s been a privilege for CCO’s Salt & Light Ministry to spearhead the planning for this city-wide prayer gathering as a special outreach, one which we hope will become a vital, annual event in Oceanside.
