Morning Prayer: The Great Litany

February 22, 2023
7:30 - 8:00am

One of the Lenten practices in the Anglican tradition is the Great Litany. Developed in English in the 16th century by Thomas Cranmer, who drew on sources that date as early as the 5th century, this liturgy is a series of prayers, petitions, and intercessions. Very often the Great Litany is prayed on the first Sunday of Lent, the first Sunday of Advent, or other seasons of fasting or thanksgiving. This year, CTR will be hosting a Great Litany Morning Prayer service on Ash Wednesday. Come and join us on Wednesday February 22nd from 7:30am to 8:00 am as we spend time praying for the church and for the world.
