Mark 6:31, "And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest awhile." This retreat is designed to unplug teens from culture, devices, electronics, and to connect them to God and each other. There are no electronic devices allowed of any kind! We will be Wilderness Camping in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and Forest in Glen Arbor, Michigan. Students will be in tents in groups of two or alone, and we have a group camp site for girls and one for guys. We will be providing tents for all participants. Students will need to bring: Bibles, Sleeping Bags, Pillows, Swimsuits, Towels, Washcloths, Toiletry Items, Tennis Shoes (Closed toes and backs), Sandals, Water Shoes (optional), Socks (at least one pair), Jackets or Hoodies, Ponchos/Umbrellas, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Thermacells, Hiking-Beach-Camping-Sporting Gear, Flashlights, Games, Additional Spending Money for a Couple Meals and Snacks While Traveling. Students May NOT Bring: Any Electronics Including Phones & Smart Watches or Devices, Tents, Unnecessary Items.
