Wooly Drive

Through Nov 1

September 21, 12:00am - November 1, 2020 10:00am

The Neighborhood Impact Team is encouraging members of the church to collect new or used winter clothing of ALL types (gloves, hats, boots, snow pants, coats, scarves) for the students at Central Park Elementary. With the hardships the COVID pandemic brings, the needs are anticipated to be particularly high this year. We are planning a drop-off on Sunday, November 1st. Depending on our church status and if we are able to meet at Concordia Academy at that point, we will give a more specific time and place for the collection of the items. If you prefer, you can give a financial gift for this drive by visiting www.hopegrovechurch.org/give and selecting "Wooly Drive" in the drop-down menu. For years, Hope Grove Church has partnered with Central Park Elementary School to provide warm outdoor winter clothing in an effort to help and support an existing need with this school. If children at this school do not have adequate winter clothing, they are not allowed to participate in the multiple recess periods and gym, if outdoors. The need for children to move their bodies and be active during the school day is so critical to their general wellness and their ability to focus at school, not to mention the need to be warm for bus pick up and drop off. That is why this drive is so important for our community. Thank you for caring for our community!
