SERVICE: Thursday, December 8th at 1:00pm. The service is in the Chapel William “Bill” Rapp was born on February 11, 1938 to Mary and Walter Rapp in KC, Kansas. He graduated high school in 1957 from Luther Academy in Wahoo, Nebraska where he met the love of his life, Jewel Swanson. They married on June 5, 1960. Bill graduated in 1962 from Bethany College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Throughout his professional life, Bill taught school and also worked as a salesman selling textbooks to schools. He retired from teaching algebra at Excelsior School for Girls in 2003. Throughout his life Bill enjoyed gardening, playing golf, hunting, and all kinds of sports. He played, coached, and enjoyed watching football, basketball, and baseball. Bill served in several churches we attended including the More Life Community Center. He participated in men’s bible study until the last few years of his life. Bill was preceded in death by his son, James William, his mother Mary Wright, his father Walter Rapp, and his brother, Robert Rapp. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jewel, his daughter Kristin and Pete Cardozo, his grandchildren, Paul and Rachel Cardozo along with his great grandchildren Jayiez, CatALina, and Julian. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Colorado Community Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
