Re-Vision Part 7 "Finishing Well"

October 30, 2022 • Pastor Glenn Garvin • Nehemiah 6:15–16

2,467 years ago on October 2, 445 BC the Jerusalem wall was finished! The Wall Story is still told as a example of overwhelming odds to rebuild - not just a wall, but a people as well. Over just fifty two days, the community came together as ONE and did the impossible with the help of God. As a local community of faithful followers of Jesus, we look to the future of Lakewood and surrounding cities, we see hope and possibility of re-visioning and rebuilding an expression of the Church for our future.

October 23, 2022 • Pastor Glenn Garvin • Nehemiah 5:1–4

The closer you are to finishing the project or reaching your goal, the more you face resistance and everything seems to intensify. For Nehemiah, now that the wall was well on its way to being built, two things happened: One, people were not only exhausted, they were BROKE! And two, those who were against the rebuild made last-ditch efforts to shut down the project by distracting, conning or killing the leader. The enemy always fights dirty.
