📄 Koinonia

Christopher Alton

"By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). The early church stood out from the world around it, by the love they expressed to each other. The New Testament writers used the word 'Koinonia' to describe this foundational principle at work in their community. The church today can similarly stand out in modelling something highly attractive to a world full of the lost, looking to belong to something powerful, lasting and authentic. This paper explores the essence of Koinonia, and how it can be nurtured amongst us today.
