City United is excited to partner with the BCNE, Disaster Relief New England, and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Network to train and equip you in disaster relief. This 2-day training will give you the necessary skills to deploy locally and nationally to bring not only assistance to those experiencing hardship and tragedy but to be a light for Christ in a hurting world. The Event will start on Friday, February 10th at 5 pm for registration and photo for ID badges. Attendees must be 18+ years of age and bring a driver's license. Please be punctual. Basic training and how-to-share-your-faith training will begin promptly at 6 pm and run till 9 pm. These two Friday night trainings are prerequisites for Saturday's disaster-relief training and must be attended to participate Saturday. The event will continue Saturday, February 11th at 8 am. You will receive classroom and hands-on training in whichever of the specific disaster relief trainings you have chosen from the available list below. Lunch will be provided Saturday and is included in the $25 registration fee. Expect to be on campus for at least 4-6 hours on Saturday. The available trainings for this event are as follows: Flood recovery, chainsaw, disaster assessment, shower trailer, and administration.
